The workshop brings together researchers interested in the impact that the green and digital transformations have on jobs and skills. Sessions feature discussions on: the green economy and the impact on labour markets; the relation between technologies and employment; the evolving role of university in providing up-to-date skills; and the challenges associated with the digital transformation.
The workshop will host a keynote lecture by Milena Nikolova (University of Groningen) on “Robots, tasks and the meaning of work“.
Policy relevant implications will be discussed in a round table with representatives of key institutions like: European Commission DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion; OECD; ILO; European Commission DG Economic and Financial Affairs; European Training Foundation (ETF).
